It was over thirty years ago that I attended my first lecture on Scientology. As the lecturer was speaking, I found myself agreeing with much of what he was saying and getting more and more interested as the talk went on. I immediately signed up and did a course having to do with communication. On that course I learned what it meant to actually be able to look at and talk directly to another person. Most importantly, I learned to listen and let the person know that I’d gotten and understood what they had said. I then got some Scientology counseling (called auditing) which was very different than any other counseling I had previously received. I felt a tremendous improvement from this spiritually and emotionally and I remember thinking how great this was and how it would really be fun and exciting to learn how to do this on other people.

     I began doing the training to become a counselor and have spent the last 30 years counseling people. The more I did this the better I felt personally. It actually amazed me then, and has continued to amaze me, that no matter who the person is or what the person does for a living, no matter how good or bad their lives are, how burdened down they are from past and present difficulties, person after person responds by feeling better, doing better and accomplishing more in their own lives. Another point of great interest to me, was realizing early on, that while each person has their own individual “stuff” to address and handle, when the counseling procedures are correctly and standardly applied they work every time! It actually gives me a great feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction to know that I can help people get relief of their pain and suffering and assist them to become stronger, more capable and more able to achieve their hopes and their dreams. I have experienced many wins in applying the counseling procedures and seeing IQ’s being raised, marriages being salvaged, pains and fears and inappropriate emotions being alleviated usually in fairly short amounts of time. Needless to say, it is never boring!

     I really like people and am very interested in them and their lives and activities. Interestingly enough, people like to talk to me and really appreciate my being willing to be there and communicate with them.

     I have also experienced a lot of gain for myself through the use of Scientology. I have learned about myself as a spiritual being which has helped me gain a much greater understanding of others also. On a daily basis the work I do provides me with many successes from those people I have helped in the past and those that I am currently helping.

     It also gives me a great feeling of self confidence to know that I have the tools and skills to provide REAL help for others - especially when many previous promises of help have turned out to be betrayals and false promises.
