ello, my name is Michele A. Ross, and here is a little bit about myself:

     Sawadee! (that’s hello in Thai). I was born in Bangkok, Thailand to American parents, and have loved the Orient ever since. Some of my earliest childhood memories are of orange-colored Buddhist monks robes, and the sound of temple bells that line the roofs of the Thai temples. My father is a retired Army Colonel, and I am the youngest of 5 children. My two awesome parents have been married for almost 60 years. I have a very varied, bright, talented and accomplished set of siblings.

     I credit my parents for giving us a very loving, disciplined, and moral upbringing that has seen me through many a challenge in life. My brothers and sister and I were fortunate to live in and visit many parts of the world, and many parts of the USA while we grew up. I am convinced that world travel is an important experience for everyone, as it helps you to see the planet as a whole and to appreciate both one’s own and others’ viewpoints much more. My family was always involved in both the arts and sciences, and my father ensured we were exposed to as much of the cultures we visited as possible. We were also taught at a high literacy rate so we could effectively study many subjects. I questioned everything and everyone constantly. I was raised a Christian and am grateful for the very ethical and spiritual foundation this gave me. I was drawn to the East however, and at age 13, I began to study various eastern cultures, religions and philosophies from the Vedic Hymns to Buddhism. I was enthralled by some of the insights I gained from these, and felt deeply that there was yet a great deal of truth to uncover. My teenage years however, were also full of wild and wacky ways and not always the most ethical decisions. I had seen the rebellion and drugs of the 60’s through the experiences of older siblings, and experienced the drugs, confusion, and erosion of integrity which included the total defamation and annihilation of the women’s role in society which occurred in the 70’s.

     At seventeen, I was pursued and caught by “the most wonderful husband in the world,” Bob Ross. It was impossible to resist this handsome “older man,” a sailor just out of the Navy who was so bright, talented, funny and enthusiastic! We’ve been married since 1977 and have two incredibly bright, talented, funny and productive sons named David, & Bryan Ross. Both boys are accomplished musicians, entrepreneurs, and just great friends. They are both young men now, and I am so proud of who they are. They are also both Scientologists by their own choosing. Frankly, I don’t know what kind of mother I’d have been without Scientology. It has simplified the job immensely.

     I’ve been very involved with my wife and mother roles through the years, and the establishment of ethical, happy & successful families is a goal I continue to pursue within my own family, friends, and associates throughout the world.

     In the mid 80’s I was introduced to L. Ron Hubbard’s administrative and business technology by a gentleman who owned the business next door to the one I worked at. I was thrilled with this data and immediately applied it to what I was doing with astounding results. This led me to locating and becoming associated with the local business consulting firm that trained and consulted business owners and their staff in using this technology. I was a trained and experienced bookkeeper and administrator at the time, but this stuff really made it happen! I have since done extensive training in this business technology and have found it to improve every business or group situation when correctly applied. Thus, my main professional focus has been to improve areas with my own knowledge of this technology and have been a business owner or executive ever since. My husband and I have since founded two home based businesses in which we find this technology invaluable, and we find it equally useful in managing family affairs as well.

     In 1989 I was honored to be asked to join a team of professionals who were renovating the St. Hill Castle in East Grinstead, England. This is a beautiful estate property which houses a college for advanced Scientology studies. With this team, my husband Bob had recently worked to renovate another church property, the Freewinds which is a cruise ship used as a religious retreat for church members.

     We both went on to work on projects to renovate three more prestigious properties, the Hollywood Guaranty Building, the L. Ron Hubbard Life Exhibition, and the Manor Hotel, all in Hollywood. I am so proud of these accomplishments and pleased to have been a part of them. I have never worked for a more effective and dedicated team than the ones that were directed by the Church of Scientology Management.

     After these projects, I spent several years as the operations manager of a high tech firm, and learned a lot about that industry. I have just recently returned to my first love, the field of arts with a position in a very prestigious local art school called Mission Renaissance. I am an artist from a family of artists, and I strongly wish to assist in helping the field of arts become more sane.

     My personal areas of interest are to rehabilitate the family unit in society and to assist in the establishment of happy families. I am especially interested in assisting mothers who are looking for viable alternatives for making income so that they can raise their own children. I also love to swim, snorkel, sail, garden, paint, take pictures, cook for family and friends, be a cheerleader to those I know, and help myself by helping others achieve their goals. I have always thought that I had the ability to reach my goals and something valuable to contribute to others. Scientology has given me the certainty to go out and do it, despite the barriers. It has brought me an excitement toward life I had before only dreamed about. Because of Scientology, I can do it all, there are no limits, and the future is incredibly bright! Michele A.Ross
