ello, my name is Leona F. Valencich, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I’ve always been very artistic. I used to sing and dance and act. That all went on hold when my second daughter was born. I wanted to give her the time that I didn’t give to my older daughter. So, I did that and I had my own business of painting interiors, which I have done for 20+ years. Now I concentrate on faux {means false} finishes like sponge and rag finished, stenciling, etc. I was raised on a small farm in Northern California, near Sacramento. I went to college where I spent most of my time at the theatre doing many different things, from acting, to set painting, to costume design and construction. I loved this stuff! But, after I completed college, I never got back to it. I still intend to.

     In l974, someone invited me to a lecture at the Church of Scientology and I never left. I was raised as a Methodist, but it never did anything for me but give me a few rules to live by. That was not enough! I had for the previous 3 years been looking for the Truth. I went to many lectures, tried Transcendental Meditation and found that it did not give me anything after 18 months. So, I stopped and sometime later I was invited to that lecture at the Church of Scientology. I was quite pleased as it gave me the answers that I had been looking for. And, they were all written down so I could read as I wanted.....and, I did.....and here I am.....very happy and unafraid of life.
