ello, my name is Karen Gullette, and here is a little bit about myself:

     Being a Scientologist has given me my life purpose. It suited me to align my work and actions toward helping other people overcome the crippling effects of loss, failure, injury and hopelessness. I have spent thirteen years as staff at various Churches and Scientology groups. By doing so, I feel I have been able to make the world a little better place to live in.

     While on staff, I have learned marketing and graphic arts. I am now a professional in these fields. L. Ron Hubbard has published the results of his own studies into these fields, and the basic information he provided gave me an excellent foundation on which to build and add experience. I also learned how to write advertising copy, starting with Mr. Hubbard's studies and his stories from his career as a writer of science fiction.

     I started in Scientology really by accident. I happened to stop into a Church of Scientology in Berkeley, California in 1972. I was immediately hired for church staff and learned more about Scientology and Dianetics through my staff training. Right away, I liked the purposefulness of it and I stayed. Just six months prior to joining staff, I had started using drugs and my life was on a downward spiral. Being on staff gave me direction toward helping others, and I left drugs behind right at that point, never to pick them up again.
