For me Scientology represented a new chance at life.
Just prior to starting my first Scientology service, I was coming off the Hippie time of my life, 1975. I was disenchanted with the drop out theme of that era and the drugs. I was still looking for answers to who I was, why am I here and there must be more to life than working, getting married having children and retiring with a boat and motor home in the driveway.
My first service was a communication course since I stuttered from the age of 6 years old to my then age of 27. Ill tell you, that condition had been wrecking my life! However, a new life opened up for me from that course forward. At long last I was able to communicate with other than good friends and objects that I did not have to worry about talking back to me! I wanted to be with people, talk to them, work with them and more importantly, help them do meaningful things in life.
I also had a big problem with women: staying with one and settling down. I had this so little time and so many women viewpoint going that you could well imagine was playing havoc with my personal relationships. The moment I realized my true purpose, in a Scientology counseling session, I knew I could have a meaningful relationship and within a few months I met the woman and we were married and still are to this day.
I have also helped others in their personal lives with the wealth of data I have learned over the years studying and applying Scientology. Those number in the thousands and mark the most satisfying accomplishments of my life.
