ello, my name is Jim Johnson, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I am a bit of a sports freak. I wish I wasn’t sometimes because as a musician it takes away from practice time. Also I don’t know any other musicians that care at all about sports. So to talk about the Lakers or Raiders with my friends gets pretty dull. Who wants to talk about the Raiders anyway except the few die hards.

     I play the guitar. My forte is the blues.

     I now teach kids to play. My son plays the guitar and I am teaching my daughter to play the drums.

     Much to my unexpressed disapproval, my son decided to play soccer. How I miss throwing around the baseball and football. But I got him into it and I started to actually help coach it. Now I watch the Spanish channel soccer games too.

     I play in a blues band and prefer to play the cleaner sounds of the old masters than the ripping it up heavy distortion stuff. I love to listen to most all music. The kids like the oldies and the classic rock and I usually listen to the new alternative music.
