I think I have learned more about Joy since I became a Scientologist than I could ever have imagined.
I have learned that learning can be a Joy, that teaching can be a Joy and that there is nothing in life that you can do, experience or understand that cannot be experienced and understood more intensely and to a greater degree.
What people, who have not found out about Scientology for themselves do not realize is that there seems to be something in it that will help you to better any part of your life. There are so many strands. Each one of those strands, taken alone, would make life easier, more successful and more fun. You would not even have to touch any of the other strands, but youd still benefit from that single area.
For example, I am a teacher. I could show anyone how to take a classical poem and help ANY student enjoy it. And, believe me, Im not talking about charisma, enthusiasm, vitality - Im talking about the simple act of making the student understand every single word.
L. Ron Hubbard brought a how does it work? viewpoint to every aspect of human existence. Then it seems as if he set about finding a way to allow anybody who was interested to discover how it worked. Then he set about finding a way to teach that person to use it for himself.
When I look at my family; close-knit, lively, supportive, I know that it is the facts and skills that those of us who are Scientologists (many of the family are not) have learnt about life and communicating that have helped to keep it that way. When I watch my children enjoying and using their individual artistic talents, I know that what I have learnt about education and helping people through barriers in life has helped to develop their gifts.
Well, thats just a part of it - I could write screeds - all I can say to sum up is - its good to be alive!
