ello, my name is Andrea Grant-Webb, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I am British, living in a country town in Sussex, England with my husband, Nic. We have been married for ten years and have lived here for almost that length of time, having moved from Yorkshire in the north of England. We don’t have children ourselves, but with six godchildren and two nephews, it means that we quite often have a house full of visitors.

     We both work in the field of sales: I work in the music industry and Nic works in publishing. We share a lot of common interests - music, reading, movies and bird watching, which means that we get to enjoy a lot of the local countryside, especially the Ashdown Forest. My favourite movies are “Pulp Fiction” and “Brazil,” and I love reading science fiction too. My favourite authors are L. Ron Hubbard, “Battlefield Earth” especially, and John Wyndham as the first sci-fi book I ever read was “The Day of the Triffids.” I love so may different types of music it is very difficult to choose any particular song or artist - but it ranges from Portishead, Soul II Soul, The Cure, The Cocteau Twins, U2, Sisters of Mercy to Black Sabbath.

     My most loved hobby is fashion design and dressmaking and my “piece de resistance” was my wedding dress, along with three bridesmaids dresses. My dress was made from 10 yards of Indian silk over 16 yards of net, and 200 buttons which were covered by hand!

     I have been a Scientologist for 17 years, having taken courses in Leeds and Manchester in the north of England and now I study courses at Saint Hill in Sussex, which was L. Ron Hubbard’s home back in the sixties. It is a beautiful place to visit with an old manor house, a new castle and lovely gardens and a lake. In addition to learning more about Scientology, I get involved in various local activities such as The Charity Fete and Christmas events.
